Long Weekend Looms Large

June 30, 2004

I spent an enjoyable Saturday with my housemate Dan's parents, who came down to Windsor for the day. We toured the riverfront, the casino, downtown, and took a cruise along the river. I had an enjoyable time and I'd like to thank them for their generosity. The pictures from the cruise are in the Photos section.

I haven't been up to too much since then. I'm looking forward to the long weekend and a friend of ours is coming down to stay with us for the 3 days.

That command line blogger is...different.

I'm equally disturbed and yet in awe.

Yeah I know, eh...

Ugh. Have to think of something to post. Well, I do have stuff to say but just not the motivation to write up a post. As you said, posting well takes up some time.

Yeah. I know.

I've been pretty pressed for time these past few days. For the first time (in the longest time I can remember) I ended up sleeping for over 10 hours in a day.

I think I just want to get away from it all...

What I'd love is just one weekday (non-holiday) where I can relax at home and sleep in. The weekends are fine, but those are weekends and the feeling like I have to take advantage of them forces me to do stuff.

And my discipline in going to bed early has slacked a bit lately.

You've echoed my thoughts perfectly.

I used to consider weekends the days to sleep in. But now I never do that. My rationale is that these are the _only_ days I have completely to myself - so why waste them? As a result, I wake up early on weekends as well and try to put time into my activities.

I'd love one weekday off!

OH, I sleep like mad on Weekends. In my world, on the weekend, the mornings are the MOST for MY TIME. So I do what I want to do when I have something completely MY TIME: I sleep. Nothing better than waking up between 11AM and 12PM on a weekend day. Leaves plenty of the rest of the day free for relaxing sleep. The last time I didn't sleep in on a weekend, I was exhausted and unproductive at work for the week.
